                           Meet the new Kasual Six...

Meet the new faces and remember the old ones, too.

Steph Rogers - Lead Vocals

Stephanie brings power, soul, and versatility to the stage as the lead vocalist for Kasual Six. A lifelong musician with over 27 years of experience, she began her journey as a classically trained violinist before finding her true passion in live vocal performance.

Known for her dynamic stage presence and wide vocal range, Stephanie effortlessly moves between genres—delivering everything from rock and pop to country and ballads with heart and energy. Whether she’s belting a powerhouse anthem or dialing it down for an acoustic set, Stephanie connects with every audience she meets.

In addition to her work with Kasual Six, Stephanie performs with the acoustic duo CollectiveSound, showcasing her love for stripped-down, intimate performances. With Kasual Six, she’s excited to bring a full-band experience that gets people dancing, singing, and loving live music all over again.

Chris Montoya - Lead Guitar / Vocals

Chris has played in a number of bands covering classic rock and originals.  He started playing as a kid, growing up in Ohio. His love for music led him to start playing piano, drums, then finally guitar. That became his main instrument after seeing bands such as Led Zeppelin, Rush and the Stones make it look fun. Chris has played most of the venues in the Denver area. His main influences have been Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson and Keith Richards, among others. He brings guitar and background vocals to the music and will occasionally tackle a lead vocal. Most memorable time on stage was playing the Peoples Fair in Denver's Civic Center park. Watching people dancing with the Denver skyline behind on a beautiful summer day!

Tom Rinnert  - Bass / Vocals

Tom grew up surrounded by music — from his mom’s church organ playing to records by Budgie, Black Sabbath, and Judas Priest. He was forced to take piano lessons as a child, played guitar in his early bands, then switched to bass and has been part of the Denver music scene ever since. He later studied voice at the University of Denver. When he’s not playing music, Tom enjoys biking, video games, and learning new things.

Tom is known for his modesty — and he’ll be the first to tell you that.

Mike Nevin - Drums / Percussion

Mike has been playing drums and percussion since he joined band in 5th grade 50 years ago and has been playing professionally since he was 14. He has played a plethora of percussion instruments in many genres beyond rock including (but not limited to) jazz, classical, and world music from a wide variety of cultures.

Mike has been teaching music for 40 years. His main focus is writing original pieces for percussion ensembles, many of which have been performed in Europe and Asia

After a 20-year hiatus from playing drum set, (No, he wasn’t in prison) Mike is excited to get back in the rock band game. He loves playing with Kasual Six because he’s able to hang out with great people playing great music. What a job!

Mike considers himself a lifelong learner and says he’s not going to retire until the Grim Reaper comes to get him. But, even then, the Reaper will have to sit down and have some drinks until the gig is over.

Tom Malouff - Keyboards / Synthesizer, vocals

Tom has been playing music since he was in grade school, although he never attended band camp.   He dropped out of piano lessons as a kid, and his love of music really began during the golden age of rock and roll when he spun vinyl as a radio DJ in high school and in college.  Later in life, he restarted the piano and found he could play by ear.  Now, he plays all of the piano, organ, and synthesizer parts in our music, and that includes more than 40 instrument voices (Trumpet, sax, etc).  Need a cowbell?  Who doesn't?  Tom has it!  Also, whenever he goes to the doctor, he always asks if he'll be able to play the piano afterward.

Tom is also the band's business manager, publicist, and janitor.

Kermit - Chick Magnet, Eye Candy

Our Secret Weapon.   Our Sixth Member.   Kermit joined the band in 2016 after a long and protracted contract negotiation.  He is the only member of the band to have actually attended band camp, and that was only for the keg parties.  He was missing for about 4 years and was later found and rescued from a box in Tom's garage.   There is an active investigation in this matter.

Kerm has no detectable musical talent, but our fans love to have fun with him, and some of the pictures are... "priceless".  He always requests "At the Hop" and nobody knows why.   Kermit encourages his adoring fans to come up with unique photo opportunities during our shows to be added to our Facebook page.   The really good ones get a free Kasual Six T-shirt!

Alumni - A quick (but grateful) shout-out to some of the fantastic musicians who worked hard and helped build the Kasual Six Band.  Those friendships are still strong today.
